Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? Here are some answers to the things people often ask. If there's anything else you'd like to know, feel free to get in touch.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely—leggings, joggers, or shorts with a t-shirt or vest top work well. You don't need anything fancy! Layers are handy as your body temperature can change during practice. We practice barefoot, so no special footwear needed.
Absolutely not! Flexibility is something that develops over time with regular practice—it's not a prerequisite. Yoga and pilates meet you exactly where you are. I'll offer modifications for different abilities, so you can work at your own level. Many of my students started out feeling stiff and have been amazed at how their bodies have changed.
You're very welcome! Everyone starts somewhere, and my classes are designed to be accessible for beginners. I explain things clearly, demonstrate the movements, and offer alternatives if something doesn't suit your body. Don't worry about keeping up—just focus on yourself and enjoy the experience. Feel free to arrive a few minutes early so we can have a quick chat before class.
You can book directly through my website by visiting the Classes page and clicking the booking link for your chosen session. Most classes are also available as drop-ins, but booking in advance guarantees your spot—especially for popular sessions. If you have any trouble booking, just get in touch and I'll help you out.
I understand that life happens! Please try to give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule—this helps me manage class sizes and allows someone else to take your spot. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged the full class fee. If you're unwell, please stay home and rest—we can sort out the booking another time.
Just yourself! Mats and any props needed are provided at my classes. You might want to bring a bottle of water and a small towel. If you have your own mat and prefer to use it, you're welcome to bring it along.
Some classes are more suitable than others during pregnancy. Please let me know before class if you're pregnant so I can advise on modifications and ensure the session is safe for you. For dedicated prenatal support, I'd recommend checking the class descriptions or getting in touch to discuss the best options.
For structured courses, it's usually best to start from the beginning as each session builds on the last. However, depending on the course and how far along it is, joining mid-way might be possible. Drop me a message and we can discuss whether it would work for you.
